Project "Overseas training for Nepalese assistant" completed!

The Third Eye Project Foundation has sponsored a 2-week training in surgical microscope maintenance and servicing for Mr. Homan Nepali - an ophthalmic assistant from Kathmandu, Nepal. This project was supported by the Polish Embassy in New Delhi, India. In August Mr. Nepali underwent training at the Seliga Microscopes headquarters in Lodz, Poland. Last year, the Polish Embassy funded two surgical microscopes, within the "Polish Aid" program, for the Gurkha Welfare Scheme. These microscopes are being used during eye camps conducted in remote Himalayan regions of Nepal. The "Overseas training for Nepalese assistant" project was a continuation of the "Surgical microscopes for GWS" project. During his stay in Poland Mr. Nepali also took part in phacoemulsification observership.
