Small Incision Cataract Surgery

In this method the whole nucleus is removed through a self-sealing sclero-corneal tunnel. This technique requires no sophisticated equipment, is machine independent, provides quick rehabilitation and gives an excellent outcome, frequently comparable with phacoemulsification. Nepal and India have one of the best SICS training centers:
- Lahan Eye Hospital
- Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology
- Aravind Eye Hospitals
